Good Animation Software For Games?
Okay, so I want to make a game, so I was wondering; what is a good 2D resource, for creating games that are somewhat of a platformer, somewhat of a 2D free roam style (imagine Zelda (on the gameboy) + Sonic). I want it, though, to have decent enough graphics that you are still impressed, and will flow, but are easy and quick. Also, I want to make the game on Windows. Thanks. :) To the guy who said I need to have an understanding of programming. Duh. I know C/C++.

You could use XNA, LiveCode, Java, or Unity. These are just a few suggestions, but keep in mind you do need to understand programming.

To write a Windows game in C# download the XNA game studio libraries. I don't know about 2D modelling specifically, but you can use tools like Maya or Blender to develop your models and import them into Visual Studio to write your game. Then, you can write code for your game using your model.
